It’s that time again, Christmas is right around the corner!
Year after year, HealthWorks Family Chiropractic has enjoyed being a donation place for Christmas Cops, Plano Christmas Cops.
How did Christmas Cops begin?
The Plano Police Association Christmas Cops program began in 1984 during the Christmas Holiday season by a handful of compassionate Plano Police Officers. These men and women saw a tremendous need in the community and knew they could make a difference — and the Christmas Cops story began.
Several families in the community were known to be in dire circumstances, often unable to provide even the basic needs to their children. To assist these families, the Officers turned to the Plano community and requested donations of children’s toys, food items, and other necessities.
This winter will be different for everyone, and many will find it more challenging than usual. Plano Christmas Cops collect many items such as children’s toys, coats, and other needed items to donate to families in need they’ve met throughout the year during the course of their duties.
