Y’all, it took me eight tries to get my bus driver’s license! You’d think as a mom of so many boys and a preschool teacher of 15 years that it would have come a little easier. But no, it took me not one, not two, but eight attempts to get that license! And, believe me, actually driving a bus of preschoolers around is even harder than getting the license itself! Nowadays, I'm thankful to be part of a health and wellness team where driving a bus isn’t in the job description. I adore the kids, but diagnosing engine failure is not one my many talents.
While teaching preschool and driving kids, my life consisted of my boys, Preston and Parker, their sports, preschool activities and learning anything I could that pertained to nurturing of little minds. I married an amazing, supportive and lover-of-all-things-chiropractic husband, Craig, in 2016. With his 3 kids and my 2, we are a blended family of 5 boys and 2 dogs. There's never a dull moment in our full house and I love it!
A couple of years ago I had the opportunity to make a career change; it was scary, but I was READY. I knew I didn’t want just any job, it had to be special and feel like “family”, warm and loving. I found this amazing place called HealthWorks and was extremely blessed to be given the chance to work with our team and wonderful patients.
Prior to HealthWorks, I didn’t really grasp what Chiropractic was. I honestly thought it was for car accidents and older generations. You can imagine my surprise when I saw whole families and CHILDREN here!
I have seen first-hand the power of the Atlas adjustment. My oldest son, Preston, has always had this little “swag” stance and I just thought it was the way he stood to be cool. After his new patient appointment with the x-rays and scans to see what goes on below the surface, I saw that his "swag" stance was, in fact, an atlas misalignment and he had nerve inflammation that was making him stand that way! After his first Atlas adjustment, I was amazed at the results and how his posture had changed dramatically. My question now is, “Why doesn’t EVERYONE see a Chiropractor?” So get in the door and get adjusted!
