The Doctor Asks...
What to Expect at HealthWorks
First Visit

New patients often remark how at home they feel in our office. That’s good, because our goal is to offer state-of-the-art chiropractic care in a comfortable surrounding. You’ll find plenty of convenient parking; you’ll be greeted by name when you enter our office. We give every new practice member a short tour to help you become acquainted with our facilities. I'm sure you'll be excited to discover our many wellness programs and services.
If you’ve already completed your Initial Health Questionnaire, great! If not, after doing so we’ll likely show you a short 5-minute video and then you’ll meet one of our team doctors, Dr. Jennifer Taylor or Dr. Christy Porterfield.
Our team takes pride in providing you with the time necessary to uncover the true cause of your health concerns. Part of your initial visit is determining what your health goals are, remember, you’re the boss in our office.
Second & Third Visit
After we study your health history and correlate your exam findings, we’ll discuss them in detail with you; we call this the Report of Findings.
- Gives us time to correlate our findings
- Allows our team time to prepare a written report for you
- Avoids overloading you with too much information
If our doctors determine that they can accept your case, you will receive your first Upper Cervical Specific adjustment. Our team will provide a list of Do's, Dont's and common responses following your first adjustment. We ask that you carefully note your responses over the next 24-48 hours.
Since everybody is different, your personal responses to the first adjustment are an important part of helping us determine a plan of action that is best for YOU. We carefully compile your history, responses and exam findings to present our best recommendations on your third visit. This final report will include specific details of your care plan, how long it will take, and how much of an investment it will be.
Regular Visits
After the investment of time needed on the first and second visits, many patients become concerned that every visit will be of equal length.
Not so. A routine office visit may require just 5-10 minutes.
But don’t think the brevity of a regular visit lessens its value or the attention we give your case! With the groundwork laid, we can quickly determine the condition of your spine and nervous system, adjust you and get you on your way.
Like a regular workout at the gym, each visit builds on the ones before. Miss a visit and you can lose the momentum necessary to make the needed changes.
We recognize your time is valuable; we do everything possible to run on time and minimize the impact on your busy life.
